ABSTRACT

Se presenta el caso clínico de una paciente de 30 años de edad, presumiblemente saludable, quien acudió a la consulta de Gastroenterología del Hospital General Docente "Dr. Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso" de Santiago de Cuba por presentar cólico biliar, íctero, coluria, náuseas, vómitos e inapetencia. Los exámenes complementarios efectuados confirmaron el diagnóstico de coledocolitiasis y colelitiasis, por lo cual fue preciso realizarle colangiopancreatografía retrógrada endoscópica, esfinterotomía endoscópica y colecistectomía laparoscópica en un tiempo anestésico. La evolución posoperatoria resultó favorable y fue dada de alta sin complicaciones antes de las 24 horas de haber sido intervenida.


The case report of a 30 year-old presumably healthy patient, who attended the Gastroenterology Department from "Dr Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso" Teaching General Hospital in Santiago de Cuba, and suffering from biliary cholic, ictero, choluria, nausea, vomit and inappetence is presented. The complementary examinations confirmed the choledocolitiasis and cholelitiasis diagnosis, reason why it was necessary to carry out a endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic esphinterotomy and ambulatory laparoscopic cholecystectomy, in a single anesthetic injection. The posoperative clinical course was favorable and she was discharged without complications 24 hours before the intervention.

ABSTRACT

Se describe el caso clí­nico de un paciente con la enfermedad de Chagas, al cual se le diagnosticó un vólvulo del sigmoide en el Hospital Señor de Malta, ubicado en el territorio boliviano de Valle Grande. Fue operado primero con urgencia por esa causa (megacolon chagásico) y 4 meses reingresó para cerrarle la colostomí­a por medio de anastomosis terminoterminal del colon, con resultado satisfactorio.


The case report of a patient with the Chagas disease, to whom a volvulus of the sigmoid was diagnosed in Señor de Malta Hospital is described, located in the Bolivian territory of Valle Grande. He had a first surgical emergency due to that cause (Chagasá´s megacolon) and after 4 months he was readmitted to close him the colostomy by means of an end to end anastomosis of the colon, with satisfactory result.

ABSTRACT

Se describe el caso clínico de una fémina de 45 años de edad, con antecedente de hipertensión arterial, ingresada en el Hospital General Docente Dr Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso de Santiago de Cuba por presentar un quiste hepático simple gigante desde hacía 3 años, que fue eliminado mediante cirugía laparoscópica. La paciente evolucionó satisfactoriamente y egresó sin complicaciones, pero con seguimiento por consulta externa.


The clinical case of a 45-year-old woman with history of hypertension is described, who was admitted to Dr Juan Bruno Zayas Alfonso General Teaching Hospital of Santiago de Cuba due to a giant simple hepatic cyst for 3 years that was removed by means of laparoscopic surgery. The patient made good progress and was discharged without complications, but she was followed up by outpatient monitoring.
